I have been invited to give an overview of recent developments in AGN science with millimetre VLBI.
I was invited to give the main colloquium in JIVE ASTRON. I discussed our most recent results, regarding the first ever observations of 3C84 at millimetre VLBI with the Event Horizon Telescope.
In this invited talk I presented recent developments of AGN science related to the Event Horizon Telescope, to a broader audience consisting of theoretical physicists and cosmologists.
Here I presented recent developments in AGN science related to jet launching in 3C84.
In this invited talk I discussed the work I did in my PhD. I presented the three papers, which were included in my thesis, investigating jet launching in 3C84.
Dr. George Paraschos - A comprehensive investigation of jet launching in the peculiar source 3C84
In these invited colloquia I discussed with colleagues recent developments in AGN science and how observations can be successfully modelled with simulations.
In this contributed talk I discussed jet kinematics in 3C84, using 20+ years worth of VLBI data at three frequencies.
In this contributed talk I discussed the results of my first paper, which is an investigation of the true location of the supermassive black hole of 3C84.
I was invited to a podcast organised by the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg. I discussed our most recent results regarding EHT observations of 3C84 with the hosts Markus and Caro.
I participated in this outreach event, which had the goal of showcasing radio science conducted with the Effelsberg 100m telescope to the general public. I was available to answer questions of the general public regarding VLBI.
The goal of this outreach event was to highlight astronomy to the general public in the context of the "Year of Science 2023". My role was to answer questions of the general public in a mobile planetarium.
Radio astronomy does not yet have a strong foothold in Greece. My goal of penning this article is increase the exposure of radio astronomy and VLBI to the Greek general public.
